Adding DKIM and SPF Records for your domain



Adding DKIM and SPF records to your domain will improve your email reliability, and can reduce the accident of it being filtered to the receiver's spam folder. you initially got to activate these records in your hosting plan's cPanel. Once they're active, you'll add the DKIM and SPF records that it provides you to your domain as TXT DNS records:

You will first get to active the SPF and DKIM records in your cPanel

  • Log in to your cPanel account.
  • Click on Email Deliverability, in the Email section of the cPanel.
  • You can see a list of the Email Domains
  • Click on the Manage Button which is on Right side
  • Let's starting with the DKIM record

  • Copy the Value for the DKIM record, click on Copy button.
  • Now add these records to your domain as DNS records
    • Go To to the DNS Management section in CPanel
  • We are going to add 2 different TXT DNS records' one for the SPF, and one for the DKIM
    • DKIM - Enter Host with default._domainkey 
    • paste the DKIM key code into the answer box
    • The string begins with "v=DKIM1; k=rsa;


  • Add new TXT DNS for SPF
  • Enter the following information for SPF
    1. Host Name: Enter "@"
    2. Value: Paste the SPF TXT record displayed in the SPF/DKIM Setup screen.
    3. TTL: Enter how long the server should take to cache the information. The ideal TTL is 86400 (1 day). It can not be set to less than 14400 (4 hours).
